YOUR FAT CAN MAKE YOU THIN At first glance, Your Fat Can Make You Thin may seem similar to other diet books on the market, especially those taking a low-carbohydrate approach. But there are vital differences that ultimately can and will result in your success, rather than yet another failure, in attaining and maintaining your goal of a healthy weight.
These differences come down to the credentials and capabilities of the author, Dr. Calvin Ezrin, and to the essential concept of developing good habits rather than bad ones during the weight-loss period.
The second major difference about this book is the very philosophy of its approach. Dr. Ezrin refuses, absolutely refuses, to take the easy route to a bestseller by telling you lies that you can "eat everything you want, never exercise, and lose all that weight you desire." That technique may sell books, but it doesn't serve your health and well-being.
Step by step, you will be learning the good habits that will enable you to lose weight rapidly and start feeling better and happier than you have in years. I know that's true; I've seen it happen time and time again. I don't wish to disparage other diet-book doctors, but it is unconscionable to tell people to consume vast quantities of harmful fat, or to buy and take "specially formulated" supplements, or to rely on food products that have no value other than to expand the author's bank account.
Best of all, as you follow Dr. Ezrin's rock-solid advice, you can expect some pretty spectacular results. You'll sleep better and more restfully. You'll have far more energy. You'll be happier and more content. And you'll lose weight in a rapid and very satisfying manner. Most important, you'll be able to maintain that weight loss permanently.
Throughout the process, you'll come to understand how your body functions, and why it has been, to this point in time, literally working against you. It will be a learning process, and as with any education, you'll be expected to fully participate. For example, you'll be learning a lot of new words and concepts. Things such as the double-edged sword of the hormone insulin and the neuro-transmitter serotonin; foreign-sounding words such as TNF-alpha. But don't be discouraged. You've learned new words and ideas before; it wasn't too long ago that the terms osteoporosis and cholesterol were limited to medical journals.
On a professional level, it happens that throughout my more than three decades of journalism on health, I've written extensively about weight problems and the frequently accompanying affliction of diabetes. But until I learned about Dr. Ezrin's unique approach, I had never come close to feeling that there truly is an ultimate solution to weight control. by Robert E.
